Italy, 1998. The Supreme Court overturns a rape conviction, after the culprit had appealed, because the survivor was wearing tight jeans. According to the Court, it would be impossible to pull off such tight jeans without the participation of the person wearing them, so it must have been consensual sex.

 

This decision set a precedent that took about a decade to no longer be considered valid by the Supreme Court itself.

Secondo la sentenza, sarebbe impossibile togliere dei jeans così stretti senza la partecipazione della persona che li indossa, quindi doveva essersi trattato di un rapporto consensuale.
